Have a project in mind?

Start with a Development Review Committee meeting. City staff can help you understand requirements, answer questions early and keep the process moving.

The DRC gives developers, business owners and project teams a chance to sit down with City staff early, before a permit application is submitted. Planning, Fire, Building Inspection, Public Works and Police can review the project together, answer questions and help identify issues before they slow things down.

What we’ll cover:

  • Zoning, building and fire requirements
  • Platting and site considerations
  • Potential issues that may affect the project
  • Coordinated feedback from City departments

What to bring:
Nothing is required, but a site plan, location map or building elevations can help staff give you more specific guidance.

SCHEDULE A MEETING

Most construction and remodeling work will require a permit, including changes to walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, electrical, mechanical or plumbing systems. Cosmetic updates such as flooring, paint or wall coverings, cabinets, countertops, shelving and fixture replacement generally do not require one.

Projects that need plan review are typically turned around in about 5 to 10 business days, depending on the scope of work.

Texas does not levy an individual state income tax. In Sansom Park, property taxes are collected by several local taxing entities, and the total rate varies slightly depending on the school district serving the property.

Please see the City of Sansom Park website for current tax rates.
